The real SAF HUD interface, built from the release source.

Loading SAF HUD

The real HUD in preview mode, over a map backdrop. The values and the State of Emergency banner cycle on their own.

Description

A clean roleplay HUD that shows what players need and nothing else, with State of Emergency and Area of Play built in. Drop it in, give staff the permission, done.

What's on screen

  • Health and armour bar under the minimap
  • Compass, nearest postal, street and zone along the bottom
  • Speedometer with RPM arc, fuel, engine and seatbelt lights
  • State of Emergency list for every area you set up, growing upward from the minimap
  • Area of Play line

State of Emergency and Area of Play

  • As many areas as you want (Los Santos, Sandy Shores, Paleto, anything)
  • Your own levels with their own colours, names, short aliases and the message players read
  • A full-width announcement banner with a sound every time a level or the AOP changes
  • /soeall steps through every area, one announcement after another
  • Keeps the last values over a restart, or resets them every start: your choice

Commands

Command What it does
/aop <area> Change the Area of Play
/soe <area> <level> Set one area, e.g. /soe ls red
/soels <level> One-word shortcut per area
/soeall <level> Every area at once
/p <postal> Waypoint to a postal
/fixmap Fixes a grey minimap

Make it yours

Everything is in config.lua: every colour, the font, the size, which parts show, the levels, the areas, and the banner's wording, timing, position and sound.

Works with

  • Qbox, QBCore, ESX and standalone, detected on its own
  • No dependencies
  • Postals: drop in any postal map's postals.json to turn on the postal cell and /p
  • Seatbelt and fuel read from your scripts through a small open bridge file

For developers

  • Server exports: GetAOP, SetAOP, GetSOE, SetSOE
  • Events: saf-hud:aopChanged, saf-hud:soeChanged
  • Client exports: SetHidden, IsHidden (hide it for cutscenes, cameras, menus)
  • Open bridge/ and custom/ folders: change any hook without touching the main files, and updates never overwrite your changes

Performance

0.00 ms idle. The HUD only updates when a value changes.
